Finding Your Purpose During Lent

I am a huge advocate for READING books that align with the season you are in. No, I’m not throwing shade at audiobooks because I love audiobooks. I found that when you read books that are tailored to your season, you:

  • Mediate more – reflecting deeply on your current circumstances
  • Gain a deeper understanding of the season you are in and why you are in that season
  • Become more receptive to new insights or different perspectives that can improve or inform your current season; and
  • Equip yourself with the right tools and willpower to create attack plans to change or celebrate your season.

So, I want to share my reading list for this season – the Lenten season and the days following Easter. During this season, my goal is to grow my faith in God, develop a stronger relationship with God, understand His abilities, and identify my purpose so I can pursue it relentlessly.  My reading list consists of the following:

  1. The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren – This is a re-read because I need a reboot and reminder of my purpose.
  2. The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson – I need to learn how to pray better. I want to be able to pray big audacious prayers. So, I purchased this book to help me with my prayer aspirations.
  3. Holy Bible Because the only way to get close to God is to get to know Him through His words and teachings.
  4. The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason – This came as a recommendation from a friend.
  5. The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles – I heard about this book from a podcast or audiobook.

For these 40+ days of Lent, I am diving deep into these books. Let me know down below what you are reading this season! Cheers.
