Last week, I got the opportunity to put Nudgit to the test. It’s a pretty cool app, especially if you love all things beauty, relaxation, and wellness. So, today, I am going to give you the scoop on Nudgit and tell you how you can win a free manicure. Hopefully, that sounds good to you.

The Scoop: What is Nudgit?
Nudgit is a beauty booking app that helps you identify, book, and pay for all kinds of beauty services in your desired location. That’s an oversimplified description of the app, so here’s the tea straight from the tea sommelier’s mouth.
According to the company, Nudgit is “your personal concierge to the best providers in beauty, health, wellness, and more.”
In a nutshell, Nudgit will help you find beauty and wellness service providers that fall within your desired price range and timeframes.
My Experience
Creating an Account
Thursday night, I decided I wanted to get my nails done on Friday after work, so I downloaded the Nudgit app and created an account. The sign-up process was simple. All I had to do was enter my name, email address, and phone number. After entering that information, Nudgit texted a verification code and, VOILA, my account was set-up. The estimated set-up time was around two minutes long.
Booking a Nail Appointment
The booking process was straightforward and intuitive.
- First, I selected “Nails” → “Artificial” → “Extensions” → “Acrylics (Full Set)”
- Then, the app directed me to a map where I could drag the locator to my desired neighborhood. On that screen, location balloons with numbers populated.
- I selected one of the balloons, which populated details about the beauty service provider at the bottom of the screen.
- After I picked a service provider, the app redirected me to the service provider’s page within the app. I chose my desired nail service, time options, and clicked save.
- Within seconds, the app prompted me to review my request, prioritize my time selections, and click “Request Appointment” to book my service.
- After that, Nudgit takes over and facilitates the rest of the booking process.
- Once Nudgit finalized my appointment details, I received a text message confirming my appointment.

Day of the Appointment
I was running late for my nail appointment, so I had to call the nail shop to tell them I was going to be late. Thankfully, the salon information was easy to access through the app and the salon owner was kind enough to excuse my tardiness.
My appointment was set for 5 pm. I arrived at 5:10 pm. My nail tech started doing my nails around 5:20 pm and finished around 6-6:10 pm.
The salon was like most nail shops. The shop was clean and, relatively, small. The nail techs were nice. They greeted me when I arrived, helped me select a nail color, were attentive to my nail requests, and engaged in light conversations. It was perfect!
At the end of the service, I was able to walk out the door without any issues or exchange of cash money. That’s right, the service costs and tip were taken care of in the app.
My Review
PROS
Nudgit is convenient and easy to use.
- I was able to set-up an account and book my nail appointment within minutes, which is dope because my time is limited nowadays.
- Nudgit’s interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate. I imagine anyone, including your tech adverse aunty, could figure out how to use this app in minutes.
- I like how you can pay for your service and tip through the app. You don’t have to worry about ruining your mani when it’s time to pay the bill or, better, you can leave your wallet at home.
- Nudgit covers a broad array of services, including but not limited to nail services, hair services, massages, facials, and so much more. Basically, Nudgit can be your one-stop shop for all things beauty, self-care, and wellness.
CONS
Like most products and services, I believe there’s room for improvement, particularly on the geographical coverage side of things. I want to see more service providers in more neighborhoods. That being said, I recognize Nudgit is a new and growing company that is working avidly to expand its geographical reach.
Right now, Nudgit is only active in SF and the Peninsula, but I expect to see it broaden its reach real soon.
My Recommendations
When you get to the booking screen, see step 4 above, select multiple time options and prioritize your desired times on the next screen. Selecting numerous time options will help you streamline the booking process and increase your chances of receiving a confirmation notice immediately. The first couple of times I tried to book an appointment, I kept getting “unable to book you for a service” messages because I was only picking one appointment time. However, the minute I selected multiple time options, I received a “booked” message soon after.
FYI, if you book late at night or on a holiday, you may not get a confirmation text until the next morning.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I like Nudgit a lot. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for convenience in booking beauty services. More importantly, this app is for anyone that dislikes waiting around for beauty services to become available (i.e., spending hours at the nail shop to be serviced) or has troubles finding beauty specialists.
