Product Review | Virgin Hair Fertilizer

This may or may not come as a shock to you, but I am mildly obsessed with growing long hair. I think this obsession stems from the fact that I every time my hair and I are in a good place – i.e. healthy, growing long, strong, and all – I experience a major setback that brings me back to ground zero. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am a strong advocate for embracing who you are and being grateful for what God has blessed you with, but I am curious to see how far my hair will grow. That being said, I have set out on a mini journey to test a few hair growth products and methods that are touted to promote healthy growth. Last time, it was Edge Entity. This time around it is the Virgin Hair Fertilizer!

Why I chose the Virgin Hair Fertilizer?
A few months ago while I was researching growth solutions on YouTube, I came across the Virgin Hair Fertilizer. In fact, I believe the title of the video read “MY HAIR GREW!!! 4inches in 1 MONTH!!!” I was sold on that title alone, but I watched every single video about the Virgin Hair Fertilizer to get a better sense of what to expect.
Sneak peak: I love the results. I hate the smell. It really works!!!

Price: $7.99

What are the ingredients in the Virgin Hair Fertilizer?
Herbal Extract, Petroleum Jelly, Peppermint Oil, Lanolin, Fragrance

 My Experience

The Virgin Hair Fertilizer actually works. Just to give you some background, I used the Virgin Hair Fertilizer for two months while wearing braids. After two weeks of using it twice a day, my hair grew like wild weeds. I had to re-braid the front/perimeter of my hair every two weeks. See pictures below and please note these pictures were taken two weeks after getting my braids installed.

BEWARE / CON ALERT: the scent of this product is something different – I am not a fan of it at all. The scent smells somewhat medicinal. Idk…I am just not a fan.

How do I use this? As I mentioned above, I apply it twice a day and follow-up with a 10-minute scalp massage.

Is it worth the investment?
For eight dollars and some change, it is definitely worth the investment. While the smell is intense and off-putting, it really gets the job done. My hair grew 2 inches in 2 months. It grew in healthier and, even, thicker than before – and believe me my hair is already super thick. I totally recommend this to everyone and anyone looking to grow thicker, longer, stronger hair.

Please be sure to do a patch test before applying the Virgin Hair Fertilizer all over your scalp because a few people did report allergic reactions.
